Geoffrey Anderson

Geoffrey P. Anderson, Esq. is a shareholder and founding member of Anderson Notarianni McMahon LLC in Denver where he practices in the areas of real estate litigation, commercial litigation and real estate transactions.

 

For 2010-11, Mr. Anderson was Chair of the Real Estate Section Council of the Colorado Bar Association. He is the author of the book Colorado Quiet Title Actions formerly published by Bradford Publishing but now published by CLE of Colorado and author of the chapter on Easements in Colorado Real Estate Forms Desk Book also from CLE of Colorado. He is editor of the chapter on judicial foreclosures in Krendl, Colorado Methods of Practice, published by Thompson West (2015) as well as the chapter on judicial foreclosures in Foreclosure Law in Colorado published by CLE of Colorado. He is the author of the chapter on quiet title in the Colorado Real Estate Practice Series published and presented by CLE of Colorado. Mr. Anderson is a frequent lecturer on real estate topics including easements, roads, boundary disputes and quiet title. He has also testified multiple times as an expert witness in those areas. He is a member of the Title Standards Committee of the Colorado Bar Association and the Forms Committee of the Colorado Real Estate Commission.

Mr. Anderson was named Lawyer of the Year for real estate litigation in Denver in 2021 and 2018 by US News and World Report. He has been on the Best Lawyers list from 2015 to the current time and named a Super Lawyer from 2011 to the present. He has been an AV rated lawyer by Martindale Hubble since 2002.

 

Mr. Anderson earned his law degree at the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science degree at Colorado State University. He is an announcer on a jazz radio program on KUVO radio, 89.3 FM and kuvo.org on Tuesdays from 8 to 10 PM and every other Saturday on All Blues from 4 to 6 as well as an occasional contributor of concert reviews to kuvo.org and allaboutjazz.com.
